Sunday Morning Bible Study
We have Sunday morning study groups available for all ages from birth to the aged at both of our church campuses. The majority of our classes use LifeWay’s Explore the Bible curriculum for their studies. (http://www.lifeway.com/n/Product-Family/Explore-the-Bible). We also have Sunday morning Bible study groups that investigate a single Book of the Bible, verse by verse. We have a series of studies about church membership written by Thom Rainer (http://www.lifeway.com/Product/i-am-a-church-member-P005538488?intcmp=MTX-Connected-IAmMember-Search-20140515). We also have a group being lead on the basis of Biblical recovery, open to all, not just recovering addicts (http://www.christianbook.com/nlt-personal-size-life-recovery-softcover/9781414316260/pd/316260?event=51177SBF|884652|51177). We also have childcare, toddler classes, children’s classes, youth classes, and college and career classes available. The Weber City Campus Sunday morning Bible study begins after breakfast each Sunday morning at 10:00am. Community Campus Sunday morning Bible study begins immediately after morning worship at 11:00am. Feel free to contact us for more information on our Sunday morning class offerings.
Following the command of Jesus in Matthew 28, we seek to make disciples of the people of Southwestern Virginia. To that end, we have our discipleship training and Bible study classes on Wednesdays. We have different offerings for adults to choose from. Studies vary and have included parenting, health, how to connect with the church, what it means to be a church member, to name only a few. Each of these classes are offered from 6:30 to 7:45 each Wednesday night, making it easy for parents to attend studies while their children are participating in AWANA or Teen Youth Group. Pastor Lester also teaches a Wednesday morning Bible study from 11:15 until 12:00.
For the busy family, we also offer Wednesday evening meals before Bible study. Suggested donation is $3 for kids and $5 for adults. Sign up through the church office to assist in ordering.
During the summer months, we like to branch outside the church walls for Bible study. We have a number of church members who open their homes as Bible study group spaces and a group meets each week in that member’s home. This summer we will be doing a study on spiritual gifts for 6 weeks and follow that up with a “Ministry Fair” for everyone to see how ministry is accomplished through this local body of believers. More information will be provided as summer draws near!
